I have been the founder, chairman, and medical director of the Bharti Eye Foundation in New Delhi for over 20 years, as well as the leader of a committed team of experts. I am a fully-equipped ophthalmologist with a focus on the first-line medicinal and surgical therapies for conditions like macular degeneration, eye tumors, uveitis, cataracts, dry eye, conjunctivitis, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, inherited retinal illnesses, and other retinal issues. In addition to being predominantly an anterior segment surgeon, I have a recognized LASIK training center where I have educated doctors from the Asia-Pacific region. I also specialize in Corneal Diseases and Refractive Surgery. Additionally, I am a pioneer in the fields of Phaco-emulsification and Refractive Surgery. I began Refractive Surgery in 1987 with Radial Keratotomy and Automated Keratomileusis in 1994 and in 1995, I was among the first in the nation to begin doing LASIK. Additionally, I took part in a multicenter study on Lasik surgery conducted by Loma-Linda University in California.
