Eyelid swelling occurs when there is an inflammation on the lid of your eyes and when an excess fluid called edema covers the area around the eyes. Eyelid swelling happens when there is an eye infection or injury. It can also be a sign that the power in your eyes has increased. Allergies can also be another reason for the swelling on the eyelid. This condition can be pain or non-painful depending on the reason behind the problem. The results are permanent once you are done with the treatment. However, you have to be very careful about not letting your eyes come in contact with dust. You need to be aware of the allergies you have in order to avoid a similar condition in the future.
