Last Updated: Nov 25, 2024
What is the Facial Aesthetics?
With aging our skin loses its firmness and becomes loose, wrinkles and lines form on our skin. Facial aesthetic treatment is an interventional process to deal with these side effects of aging and return the earlier vigor of the skin. It is a non-surgical process that deals with skin lifting and skin smoothening, especially that of the face. In most cases facial aesthetic treatment is performed by dentists because dental anesthesia is an integral part of the treatment and a dentist is best qualified to anesthetize the inner mouth. Skin tightening can be done using botox or botulinum toxin (BTX) type A injection, anti-wrinkle injection or derma fillers. Facial aesthetics treatment can be performed to remove crow feet, frown lines. Derma fillers are the best options when it comes to improving the areas of the face which includes lips, cheeks and chin.
Derma fillers are also injected in the skin and after it is injected a solution is applied at the area of operation that numbs the area and the patient does not feel much pain. As the derma filler takes effect, a smooth finish is rendered to the skin. Facial aesthetic treatment is a part of cosmetic treatment, but the best thing about this treatment is that, it does not involve any incisions or cuts.
How is the Facial Aesthetics treatment done?
Botox injection is a primary treatment when it comes to improving the aesthetics of the face. Botox is produced by a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum. The doctor will take a very small amount of botox in the needle and will push the solution into the wrinkled area. Botox weakens the muscles and disallows them to further contract. Botox injection can be given very easily and it usually does not require the person to be anesthetized. The positive effect of this injection can be seen after a week.
Another type of injection that is used to treat skin wrinkles and frown lines are derma fillers. Now there are various types of derma fillers. Radiesse derma fillers and Hyaluronic acid derma fillers are very commonly used. Radiesse is a material that has a thick and sticky texture. It is injected into the skin and as it settles down, the skin above becomes smoothened. Radiesse derma filler is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite, which our body produces naturally. Hyaluronic acid derma fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid that is produced by our body, but the production gets reduced due to aging. Hyaluronic acid derma fillers are diluter than Radiesse derma fillers. They can be used to beautify the lower area of the face. They can also be used in augmenting the lips.
