Female Hair Loss: Treatment, Procedure, Cost and Side Effects

Female hair loss is a condition wherein, a woman starts her losing hair. Most women experience hair thinning and hair loss where they part their hair or at the top central portion of their head. It could be due to ageing, hormonal changes, hereditary condition, stress or a particular hair style or treatment. Women may also experience hair loss at the time of menopause or post partum period. Medications are available in the form of pills, liquid or gel to stop hair loss and grow more hair. If you want a permanent solution to the problem, your hair can be transplanted by a cosmetic surgery. You can go for wigs or hair pieces if you do not want to go undergo surgery or medications.

You must consult a doctor if your hair loss condition is getting out of hand. The doctor will first prescribe you with some medications. Minoxidil is an over the counter medication that you must rub in your scalp twice a day for 16 weeks. It is available in the form of liquid or foam. There are some medications, like finasteride, that are supposed to be used only by men. Make sure that you consult a good doctor and do not consume the wrong medications. The results of the treatments are permanent if you keep consuming the prescribed medications and follow the guidelines after the treatment is done.

Rubbing your scalp with coconut oil, lavender oil and rosemary oil is considered to be good in order to stop hair loss. Almond oil is also good for hair growth. You may also try consuming vitamin E supplements to improve the health of your hair.
