What is the Nosebleed Treatment?
Nosebleed problems can be easily treated at home as it is not a very serious problem usually. However, in certain cases, medical attention becomes important as they may become frightening. This problem is categorized depending on the area of origination. They are often described as either anterior or posterior. Anterior nosebleeds are the common type in which bleeding originates from a blood vessel on the nasal septum. This kind of nosebleed is usually easy to manage either at home or at a medical facility by a medical practitioner. In the posterior type of nosebleed which is less common and happens mostly to older people, the bleeding starts from an artery present at the back of the nose. Posterior nosebleeds are a little more complicated and need immediate admission to the hospital where doctors can treat the problem.
In the winter season, nosebleeds tend to be more common than in any other season. This problem can occur at any age, however, it is most common in children between the age group of 2 to 10 years. It is also common in adults aged 50-80 years. The nosebleed happens from one nostril only and only in cases of heavy bleeding can the other nostril get affected as well. In some cases, blood can also start dripping from the back of the throat or even down in the stomach region as well.
How is the Nosebleed Treatment done?
There are a number of home remedies which can be used in order to treat this problem of nose bleeding. Simple methods like making the person sit in an upright position and then lean forward slightly can be helpful. However, you should make sure to not let the person lie down or to tilt their head towards the back. Applying five minutes pressure, pinching the nose with the thumb and the index finger can also be very helpful.
A specialized cotton material may be used by a medication practitioner in order to stop the bleeding. He/she may also insert a balloon in the nose and use a specific electrical tool to singe the blood vessels. A medical practitioner may be needed when the nosebleed does not stop on its own within ten minutes or when too much bleeding makes breathing difficult. Bleeding disorders or a major head injury which causes the nose bleeding also needs immediate medical attention by experts. In some cases, the reason behind nose bleeding can be taking certain medications or having an underlying disease.
Who is eligible for the treatment? (When is the treatment done?)

How long does it take to recover?
It does not take very long for the nose bleeding to stop. In some cases the bleeding can stop on its own within a period of ten to twenty minutes. However, in cases where a doctor’s help is required, it may take a few hours for the problem to completely go.
What is the price of the treatment in India?
