Symptoms Of Kidney Infection

Chills is condition where a person is feeling of being cold without any apparent cause like cold environment. Generally, such type of feeling occurs due to interruption occurring in functioning of muscles like sudden contraction or expansion. A fever with a shaking or shivering like condition is normally seen in person suffering from any type of infection. Back, side (flank) or groin pain
There are development of pain in region of back or side (flank) and groin area due to infection of kidney. This is because the location of both kidneys is at back side of body under rib cage, on either side of spinal cord. The infection is interrupting in working of kidney, many people are complaining for such type of pain which may be slow aches or a sharp stabbing pain. The excessive growth of bacterial in kidney is resulting into inflammation of kidney because of no more space available in kidney capsule.
Abdominal pain
If there is an infection in kidney spreaded through urinary tract infection, it may cause pain in abdominal area. This pain is occurring because of disturbance in function of kidney. The inflammation occurring in kidney due to bacterial or virus growth is pressuring on other organs located in abdominal area resulting into pain. Such pain is also liked to the location of kidney that is deep in abdominal region.
Frequent urination
The basic function of kidney is to form urine and a person suffering from infection may complain about increased frequency of urination. Generally, this symptom is associated with the spread of urinary tract infection to the kidneys, the tubes connecting the kidneys to the bladder, the duct through which urine passes out of the body. The irritation created by bacterial or viral infection sends signals to the brain about the urination all the time.
Strong, persistent urge to urinate
Kidney is filtering the blood and release waste products through urine and if get infected by bacteria or virus, its function got interrupt. In case of infection in kidney, there is a symptom occurring with a sudden urge to pass the urine and many time people cannot control for the same. This type of persistent urge of urination is experienced by people resulted from involuntary contraction of bladder, commonly due to infections. When a person distressed with this condition, he will feel like to have to find a bathroom immediately.
Burning sensation or pain when urinating
Dysuria is a term associated with painful urination along with burning sensation during passing the urine out of the body. Such symptom of dysuria is generally indicating towards chances of infection in kidney, urinary tract, bladder or urethra. The infection affecting the kidney may result into inflammation of kidney and other parts of urinary system leading to sensation of pain or burning. As the infection is primarily affecting the urinary tract and further growing towards the kidney, it is a leading cause of painful urination and seeks immediate attention.
Nausea and vomiting
Nausea and vomiting are the symptoms which are generally linked with the infections, food-poisoning, motion sickness, etc. like conditions. In nausea, a feeling of uneasiness of stomach is experienced by person with an urge to vomit but it doesn't causing vomiting while in vomiting, a food or liquid like water present in the stomach comes out of the body through mouth and sometimes through nose too. The infection of kidney also interferes with working of digestive system and result into feeling of nausea and vomiting.
Pus or blood in your urine (hematuria) Urine that smells bad or is cloudy
When a person complains about the pus or blood like traces in urine, it may be considered as kidney infection. The growth of bacteria in kidney infection is making the appearance of urine is cloudy or causing a bad smell in urine. Such type of urine is formed when the urethra or kidney is inflamed and shedding a little bit of blood. The blood cells present in urine will be white blood cells and indicates a sepsis or life-threatening bacterial infection of kidney.
