Benefits of yoga for face wrinkles

If proper care of the facial skin is not taken then wrinkles start appearing. Another reason for face wrinkles is stress. It is stress that can make a young person appear old due to the changes it brings in the human body. People use beauty and anti-aging products on their skin to get rid of wrinkles but using all these products do not offer a permanent solution.

For people with the problem of the face, wrinkle yoga provides a natural and healthy way of alleviating the problem of wrinkles. Yoga helps in reducing the stress level of a person making him/her calm from within. Yoga reduces the tension from the facial muscles allowing them to relax and breathe. Yoga helps in toning the jawline. Yoga stretches the facial muscles to improve the blood circulation so that nutrients can easily reach that area. Doing yoga makes the cheek firm by releasing the tension in the jaw. Given below are some of the facial yoga exercises which help in alleviating the problem of face wrinkles.

Facial yoga is extremely beneficial for anti-aging including wrinkles and fine lines. It works the muscles around the eyes and forehead. This yoga is performed by widening your eyes exposing the white portion as much as possible. Maintain this position until your eyes starts to water.

Another facial yoga that helps in treating cheek lines and sagging skin. Start with hiding your teeth with your lips while making a ‘O’ shape with the mouth. Smile widely as possible while keeping your teeth hidden. While in the smiling position, place your index finger on the chin and start to move your jaw up and down. Tilt your head a little while doing the exercise.

This facial yoga helps treating drooping eyelids, crow’s feet, eye bags and puffiness. Put your middle fingers in the inner corner of your eyes while placing your index fingers to the outer corner of the eyebrows. At the same time, try to look towards the ceiling by squinting your eyes.

This facial yoga is useful for treating the lines and wrinkles on the neck. Start by looking ahead and placing your fingertips at the bottom of your neck. Lightly stroke your neck while tilting your head backward. Then bring the head down to the chest. This is followed by jutting your lower lip as far as possible to pull the corners of your mouth down while putting your fingertips on your collarbone.

Besides yoga, food plays a very vital role in alleviating the facial wrinkles. A healthy diet helps in improving the health of the muscles of the face and body thereby eliminating wrinkles. Fortunately, there are some food products which when consumed not only helps in improving the health but also reduces the wrinkles. Incorporating diet rich in omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids such as flaxseeds, walnuts, and salmon lead to improving the health of the skin cells.

One of the causes of wrinkles is weakening of collagen and elastin. Incorporating foods rich in amino acids such as tofu, and eggs strengthen the collagen. Incorporating greeny leafy vegetables in the diet helps in keeping the skin both healthy and hydrated. Deficiency of phytoceramides can lead to facial wrinkles. Adding foods rich in phytoceramides helps in making the skin firm. Adding antioxidant-rich food products in the diet help in eliminating the free radicals from the skin. A healthy diet is not only beneficial for the body but it also helps in improving the overall quality of life. Combining yoga with a healthy diet alleviates the problem of face wrinkles at a much faster rate.
