lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Whether "thyroid hormonal imbalance" continues after delivery is difficult to predict now. However, what is most important at present is to maintain TSH level around 2 mU/L, to help proper growth of the fetus and have normal outcome of pregnancy. You need not worry about post delivery problem now. Because if TSH level is high now it will seriously affect the fetus in the uterus. As regards post delivery many a times TSH may return to normal. If you have any doubts please come back. Plus if you have not started on Thyroxine please start the treatment with adequate dose and check TSH level every 4 to 6 weeks. Thanks.
