No need to control your sugar hunger. Its just you need to pay attention to your sugar intake and calories. Also you need to burn calories accordingly. Fix your diet schedule. Even diabetics can enjoy sweets and live a good quality life. Diet sugar is ok but do not use it limitlessly. They too have side effect. Better to rely on natural sweetness but in controlled manner.

Dear lybrate-user, In this concern I advice you that, first pay attention on your PP and fasting on routine basis, get your HbA1C test done on every 3rd month. Do exercise and eat healthy. For your sugar craving, instead of using sugar free or diet sugar, as they contain aspartame that affect your blood sugar levels, in exchange of them the best you can use is STEVIA, it's a plant leaf source of sugar, whose 1gm is equivalent to a teaspoon. It gives you 0 calories n taste like a sugar. But being Diabetic you need full care support. For more queries related to it you can consult me on private questions. Thank you.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. The blood glucose value mentioned is related to fasting levels, is it not? If you have confirmed diabetes, ten you will have to stop taking sugar in any form. Because it is directly converted to glucose immediately. Plus looking at your weight and height it is clear that you are having grade 1 obesity with a BMI of 31.25 kgs/M2 (normal <23 kgs) This is a major contributaor for increased blood glucose. Since you have developed diabetes, then you will have to STOP EATING SWEETS for your lifetime. There is no other option. Thanks.
