Hello lybrate-user, there is no need to give liv 52 to 3 months old baby as his organs are very delicate and cannot accept too much medicines. I hope you have consulted doctor for giving him calcium, vitamin D and iron drops. If not, pls. Consult before giving any medicines. Also mother's milk is enough for a 3 months old baby. Such a small baby does not eat much, he can survive well on mother's milk only. You can introduce foods like khichadi, mashed potato or Cerelac kind of foods when the baby is atleast 5 -6 months.

Hello, your milk is enough for your baby, however, I being a homoeopath can suggest you some homoeopathic recourse, please. Give your baby under lying homoeopathic medicine to improve her appetite being gentle, rapid & safe in action.@Cina 30-1 drop with 1tsfl of your milk thrice. Calcium, vitamin D & iron drop be continued as usual maintaining 1 hr gap in between both the therapies. Report wkly. Tk, care.

Please observe the overall health of the baby and do not judge by the appetite. Let the pediatrician decide after the checkup whether any external supplement is required or not. Otherwise simple breastfeeding is sufficient till 6 months age.

Congratulations. Hold on to the faith in breastfeeding, you really don't need anything else. 4.9 kg weight at 3.5 months is good weight gain with exclusive breastfeeding. Baby will need only iron and vitamin D 3 daily supplements and after six months weaning with regular home food in addition to breasfeeding. You can fight your worries if you can plot growth of the baby on IAP growth chart. If it is within normal limits you have no reason to worry. By the way appetizers at all ages are no more than a placebo. Treat the child if ill. Be happy and enjoy together (with all family) healthy meals prepared at home. This is the best ever appetizer we need.
