I have had my 2nd daughter on Monday through section. I had been breastfeeding my baby since the beginning but suddenly my breasts have become hard and my doesn't want to suck any more. I am having trouble to feed her as I don't want to formula feed her. Please help.

Hi, This may be due to breast engorgement because of inadequate emptying of breast milk. I appreciate your efforts of feeding baby exclusively with breast milk. Try to breast feed baby more frequently. Express the breast milk into a clean cup so that emptying will decrease the engorgement of breasts. Expressed breast milk can be fed to baby by using cup and spoon. To express milk, you can do manually or you can use breast milk pump. Ensure proper attachment of baby to your breasts during direct breastfeeding. You can take help and guidance of Nurse or the doctor at your hospital for expression of milk and proper attachment.
