My wife is taking clozapine 50 mg along with Amisulpride 100 mg for 3 years for Schizophrenia. She doesn't want to have the Blood Tests reqd for checking the WBC Level. I am having apprehension and fear of for her having neutropenia/Agranulocytes now or later of her taking Clozapine 50 for taking such a long time without having Blood Tests. Kindly Help by advising what to do.

It is compulsory to undergo regular blood test (WBC) when on clozapine. If she does not do, she has to be compelled or the medication, changed. Chance of agranulocytosis is 1% and it is the protocol to do, else no other option, but to change medication. All the best.
