What to do with runner's knee? Is this related to diabetes? I am 35 years male. Just started running for a week and then it started. please help.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. When one starts running, it should be a gradual process. By that I mean increase the distance and speed gradually so that your legs and joints get used to the process of running. Plus always do warm up before going for a run for about 5 to 10 minutes. Similarly after the run you will have to do certain stretches and cooling down exercises. Best is to take rest for a few days and start again. If needed see an orthopedic who also knows about running. Otherwise, he may advise you to stop running. Best is if you have a sports medicine specialist contact him. Thanks.
