Piles is usually seen as mass prolapsing out from rectum. Sometimes painless bleeding with anal irritation and itching is noticed. While in fissure pain and irritation specially after passing solid stool is main symptom.

Piles are the swollen and inflammed veins of the anus and rectum giving rise to - discomfort during or after stool - pain - constipation - occasional bleeding - prolapse of the tissue outside anus. Fissure is cut in the skin of external anal opening which give rise to - burning, pain,itching after defecation - constipation - occasional bleeding per rectum.
