Dear doctor, My wife is 7 months pregnant now. She felt left ear pain and unable to sleep during night for most time and also in morning time too. We checked with ENT doctor. He checked and said that ear wax is formed Inside ear and he gave soliwax ear drops for wax removal. He asked to put two drops per day upto 7 days. Next Tuesday he asked to come again to remove that wax from her ear. My doubt is 1. Whether the ear drops affect the baby in womb? 2. This ear wax problem is common or difficult to remove from ears? She is having difficulties in her left ear only. Kindly suggest. Waiting for your reply. Thank you.

1.Ear drops will not affect the baby at all. Don't worry about that. 2.Ear wax getting hard and impacted is a very common problem. Soliwax or any other wax dissolvent drops will make the wax soft and make it easier to remove. So use the drops as prescribed and get the ear wax removed. This is a routine procedure. Don't worry. Take care.
