I am slightly diabetic and have BP, under control with medicines. I am 70 years old, 113 kg, 5'9" height. My legs get swollen and red, From little above the ankle up to the toes. It is not going down since 3 months now. Please tell me what to do?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It would have been better if you had mentioned actual blood glucose valiues like fasting, PP & HbA1c%, BP readings and lipid profile. Because by saying "under control" it is difficult to know what is the situation. From your details it appears to be a problem related to excess weight as with a BMI of 38.2 kgs /M2 you are closer to be morbidly obese. Swelling of lower limbs and other related issues are all linked to it. Thanks.
