My doctor has recommended Uvox 50 mg to me. I read on one website that this medicine leads to suicidal thoughts and risks. Is this true. Please answer honestly and clearly as I am very scared.

Dear Lybrate user. Let me give you an example. You see that motor vehicle accidents occurring everyday around you. Would you stop travelling by motor vehicles because of that? Certainly not. Likewise, the side effects of any drug/medicine is not applicable for everyone who takes it. If a medicine is tested with 1000 people for research purposes, only a few of them may have such side-effects. Otherwise, if a particular medicine causes side-effects in every user, it will not be allowed to hit the market. Nothing to worry about it. Just stick to your doctor's advice.
