I'm 21 year old and I've got chest pain at the left-center side even my left hand feels numb sometimes .it usually pains at the left-center rib end ,when I sleep in one position or laughter too much it pains feels difficult in breathing I feel like it holds my breath few seconds .Is this a serious matter? Must I consult a doctor or can be cured by home remedy. Thank you.

It is most likely a muscle pain, take a pain killer and muscle relaxant for few days and apply a pain killer ointment at site of pain.

It may be a serious issue if not relief if Chang your position. Go for simply chest x Ray and relax. It may be due to nerve compression that may relief on changing position. Thanks and welcome.
