I have a pimple/mole/wart/cyst on my head scalp. It's not under the skin but over the scalp. Soft and painless. No discharges it's been there since last 10 years and so far with my age it's grown of the size of chana dal (pomegranate seed) I am 30 year old now. Is it dangerous if I keep it as it is. I've read about skin cancers and I am worried a lot.

Dear lybrate-user Skin lesions that are present for a long time are usually non cancerous. However, change in the lesion can sometimes be an indication of cancer. If the skin lesion or mole that you have is growing in size, it is better to consult a specialist. Sometimes, removal of the mole and testing by pathology may be necessary to clear any doubts. Since, you have noticed a growth in the size, I would suggest that you consult a specialist.
