I am 48 years old. I am taking Istamet (50/500) tab twice daily since last 3 years for my sugar problem. Is this medicine safe and perfect?

Mr p k mishra, istamet is a good combination in treating t2 diabetes, provided it is bringing your sugar levels to desired values. The combination is as safe as any other oral anti diabetic drug. And about being perfect, well there is no drug which is perfect except probably insulin injections. If your disease is well controlled and hba1c % is around 6.5% then you should continue the same. Along with this exercise and restricted diet are equally important and not to be over looked.
