Sir, My relative is a sugar and bp patient. Her age 50 in scanning says increased echogenicity noted. Impression fatty changes of the liver. What tips of treatment is required.

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. From what details are given, it appears she has non alcoholic fatty liver. This occurs quite often in patients with diabetes and high BP plus being overweight. Since there is no information about how well or poorly ether diabetes & BP are controlled, it is difficult give any more comments. Excess weight does lead to development of fatty liver. Strict diet control regular exercise, strict blood glucose control and BP reduction are important.Thanks.
