Dear doctor, My baby has been suffering from watery loose motion for the past 2 days. He is 2.5 year old. Which medicine is fast relief for loose motion (Cadotril sachet, enterogermina,bifilac) Please suggest for that.

Loose motions can be due to food poisoning or indigestion or any other forms of stomach infections. With children it is always safe to medicate them only after seeing a doctor. So please consult before you start giving any medications. The mean while give him light and easy to digest foods like rice kanji cooked with a small piece of ginger and vegetables which will not cause any gas. 1 tsp arrowroot powder can be boiled in water to make a thick drink adding jaggery to Taste And given to drink when cooled .you can make fresh apple juice and boiled it to make black tea like devotional dn can give it for drinking .this also helps tighten loose stools. Be sure that he has enough water to drink and does not get dehydrated.
