My father had a partial larygyctemoy surgery one month ago. Till now, his coughing has not stopped. He has been coughing aggressively & is not able to swallow water. It aggravates d cough. Hence food is still going through ryles tube 4m d nose. I wanted your suggestions to know if he will ever recover 4m the cough? & be able to swallow food naturally.?

I would recommend to get chest ct scan along with bronchoscopy to see if there's any fistula as drinking water aggravates the cough. He should also undergo bronchoscopy after the ct report. Rest for controlling cough you can use a cough suppresant for while. But remember its not the permanent solution. Thanks.
