Cause of paralysis largely decided the line of management and prognosis. If the cause is stroke than brain imaging by MRI is advocated. The prognosis is usually good. The treatment is largely medical with physiotherapy. If the cause is cervical myelopathy/radiculopathy the treatment is largely surgery. In few cases peripheral neuropathy is also present with unilateral palsy. Consult a qualified physician for exact diagnosis and treatment.
