Hello lybrate-user, the habit you are talking about maybe associated with stress/worry/overthinking etc. Note when you find yourself biting the cuticles: it is probably your response to a stressful situation. What you can do is, from now on, when you find yourself in an stressful situation, or thinking, deliberately start walking, or clicking your fingers. Since habits are established through repetition, you may have to deliberately start doing any such selected activity for sometime until it's automatic, just like your nail biting habit is.
