Dear Sir, Please suggest if my wife should take further treatment. We got married on 02 march 2018 and writing this question on 12 march 2018. Her ultrasound image of lower abdomen shows that-- 1) Both ovaries are enlarged in size, one ovary 19.5 cc and other 14.5 cc. 2) Multiple small cysts are found on both ovaries which are arranged peripherally. 3) Her periods are regular, but this month her period lasted for 12 days with heavy bleeding, 4) Doctor gave her metformin, folson and noteron tablets, What is the problem with her reproductive system? Please answer.

As per US report, she seems to be having polycystic ovaries, it is a common problem and it is too early to say that she will have any problem in conceiving. Prolonged periods soon after marriage can be due to stress. Irregularity in periods does happens in many girls for few months after marriage. If she doesnot conceive after trying for 5-6 months, get her honmones tested.
