Hi, I am 42 year old Male, I have done H1bc for sugar test & got result of 170 as avg. Does this mean I have blood sugar? I am not on any diabetic medicine currently. Although due to skin related issues I was on course of medicine for fungal infection.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Average glucose 170 mg means you have diabetes. Because when HbA1c % goes above 6.5 it is diagnostic for diabetes. Do you have any other symptoms? If in doubt please get an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) done. That will give a clear indication. Thanks.
