I had Stepidictomy in my left ear in 2010. My avg hearing loss presently is 42% and 50% in left and right ear respectively. I have tinnitus as well. I am considering for hearing aids. Will it be helpful for me? And does 18 channel or 24 channel hearing make any difference? Which kind of hearing aid will be best for me?

Hello. If you have difficulty in understanding speech then go for hearing aid. Yes 18 and 24 channels do make a difference. Since you have tinnitus it ll cause some discomfort while using hearing aid. I suggest you to first have a hearing aid trial at a hearing centre and then see if it is okay for you or not. Revert back.
