Dear sir, I am suffering from cervical pain.In the blood test report, my vitamin D levels were 5 ng/ml (Severe deficiency, My doctor prescribed 60000 IU vitamin dosage. I have taken 6 tablets yet. The doctor told me to take one tablet a week for 3 months. I am afraid that vitamin D levels will increase too much that it will become toxic. Should I continue the dosage or stop it?

The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. ... Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D. If you suspect you may have these symptoms consult the doctor who prescribed you the Vitamin D dosage and confirm. Take care
