My son is 5.3 years old. He has detected profound hearing loss. He had jaundice at his birth time. Which treatment should be good for him. Can he recover his hearing.

Hi lybrate-user, if the hearing loss is detected at an early age of life, there is very less to no chances of recovering in hearing. Ideal thing to do is to get a hearing testing done and use hearing devices to help the child improve his hearing, Speech, language And communication. Speech therapy and Listening training will help in achieving these.

Need to get him hearing aids asap. Use the best digital BTE after due testing. If no improvement in 6 mths go in for cochlear implant.
