CT pulmonary angiography is advised when there is suspicion of Pulmonary embolism, hemoptysis with suspected bronchial artery bleeding or to assess a Ventilation Perfusion mismatch. Lung cancer screening is done with a low dose CT Scan in persons who have high risk of lung cancer i.e. 10 pack years of smoking. See a Surgical oncologist if you have symptoms of lung cancer like cough, blood in cough, change in voice or breathlessness.
