Today while coughing I found little red blood in sputum. Can you tell me what was that I am very tensed. I have delivered a baby 4 month ago. I am thyroid patient also. Is anything serious. Does it while effect my baby. Please suggest.

Do not worry. A small amount of blood in sputum that happened just once doesn' t warrant any treatment and you need not worry about it. It might have occured because of forceful coughing. But, some points are worth considering. Since how long have you been having cough. And Since how long have you had sputum. If it has been for a more than a month, get a very small container from a nearby shop. Collect the sputum that comes early in the morning while coughing and deposit it at a pathology lab for'AFB staining and cytology'Get an Xray done.
