I am 46 my annual report shows HbA1C 6.3:EST GFR 78 Uric acid 4.23:Creatinine serum 1.12.I am taking Riomet OD 1gm daily and Covance 50 twice daily my BP is in range. I am worried about kidney.

Ur creatinine level within normal range but high normal,,u have to be cautious,,u need to control ur blood sugar level,, consult with a medicine doctor

Hi Lybrate user. The estimation of GFR should be done always in consultation with a nephrologist as there are lot of other factors to be taken into account. And the normal values of GFR has a very wide range. Hence do a consult a nephrologist before getting worried unnecessarily. Also do a urine routine to look for protein loss.
