Hi, Subsequent to an urinary infection which now cured by taking cefixime, I went for PSA and and an Ultra Sound Scan. Result were as -PSA 5.02 ng/ml and prostate: Enlarged,46 cc with mild median lobe hypertrophy. I took Silodosin for 10 days as prescribed by the doctor. Should I continue with the medicine. And if advised, for how long?

Yes Continue for long duration. Then recheck psa after 3-6 months. It should be less than 4 always.

I have gone through your problem.prostate show mild enlargement.plz take care of urinary infections don?t hold the urine and continue with the same medicine as it can be taken for long time.lpz get your BP checked up once or two times a month as this drug lowers the BP.otherwise you?ll be off the symptoms with this drug.
