Hello doctor, I am (26) weight 83 kgs. I am suffering with hiatus hernia and lax les. Doctor proscribed me rab Dsr and sucralfate syp. Is there any danger with above problems, please advice me food plan, which I have to eat and have not to eat. I have infection in my stomach. I quite non veg and oil food. While sleeping at night, use a pillow to keep your head at a level above your body. This will reduce the reflux at the night time. 6. Certain medications should also be avoided. To answer a part of your question, yes hiatus hernia if associated with an established GERD is to be treated promptly and is one of the indications for surgical treatment for the same.
