My grand mother has diabetes and we have taken her hospital and also get treatment but from last few days she is behaving like mentally and I have checked her sugar its sometime 60,134 like that but in the night she behaves like totally mental like there is a ghost inside her but she says that she is feeling not well her hand was totally cold and sometime she was sweating what is happening we also not getting understand kindly help me.

Thanks for the query. When blood glucose goes too low (hypoglycemia), some patients do behave in a funny manner. 60 mg is a very low level, that can trigger unusual behavior. Plus the person may get symptoms like shivering, sweating, blurring of vision, giddiness, even black outs. So please see that her glucose levels do not go below 80 or 90 mg. Since there is no mention of drugs and dosage which she is taking, HbA1c%, correct fasting, PP levels, age of the patient and whether she is physically active. Unless all the details are given, it is difficult say anything further. Thanks.
