My mum diagnosed ca overy stage 3c last year. Ca 125 is 597.6 chemos given carboplatin faciltaxol. Then cytoreduction surgery done again 3 chemos given. Now ca 125 is 13.5. Is it second surgery is possible? Dr. said hipec or ip chemo wil give. Is it possible? Is there any side effects wil arise? Side effects wil arise long lasting? recurrence wen wil come?

Since ca 125 is low and if the patient donot have symptoms like ascites or abdominal distension and if cytoreductive surgery is adequate no further chemo is required. As response has been adequate. Follow up the patient closely. If there is change in ca 125 level during follow up. Further treatment shall be required. Only then.
