I consumed mango yesterday. There was a black spot on it. Not sure it that was due to damaged or partially eaten. I washed it and reMoved that part with knife. I then consumed the remaining fruit. Later I read about nipah virus. I'm.now feeling terrible thinking what if that was infected fruit. I am from Hyderabad and purchased fruit here only. Also. How long the infection on fruit stays? Mangoes were kept in my fridge for 2 days. Please clarify my doubts. Right now I'm feeling terrible.164

There is no nipah viral infection or entry of virus into Hyderabad and you need not worry . It is restricted to only a small part of Kerala
