Mu daughter is 2 months old. She has to be needed with bottle as breast feeding is not sufficient. But some days back a relative of mine had advice me not to feed the baby with bottle as it would have adverse effects on her health and heart. Please doctor advice should we continue with bottle or should we change to other options.

If breast feeding is not sufficient, you have to give formula feds, no other option at this age. However, if there is a need to give only 1or 2 formula feeds per day,-- give with cup & spoon. But if majority of your feeds are formula feeds, there is no alternative other than bottle feeds. There are no adverse effects on health. But continue giving breast feeds whatever avaiilable, at least upto 3 months of age. After some time the baby might show reluctance to feedfrom breast. Because it is easier to suck from bottle than from the breast.
