Hi I'm a 23 year old female. I have been having sudden arousals every 15 seconds - 1 hour for the last 10 hours. I pulled out my menstrual cup and since then I've been having this. The arousals are surprising and a little painful. It lasts less than a second but it's very disturbing. What am I going through? What should I do?

A standard medication for PGAD doesn't exist. The condition is treated with everything from anti-neuralgic medicine usually prescribed for Parkinson's disease, to, in some cases, Botox injections. The symptoms can be calmed, but not cured, and the permanent frustration can have severe effects on mental health.
