Gross examination: 001. Left cheek biopsy: multiple grey white soft tissue bit altogether measuring 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.2 cm. 001-002. (ntl). 002. Lower alveolus: multiple grey white soft tissue bit altogether measuring 0.7 x 0.5x 0.2 cm. 001-002, (ntl). Microscopic examination & opinion: 001. Left chest biopsy: section show superficial biopsy comprising of acanthosis squamous mucosa devoid of any significant dysplasia. 002. Lower alveolus: section show acanthosis squamous mucosa with underlying stroma showing chronic inflammation. No evidence of any dysplasia/malignancy. I want to know is this cancer.

The biopsy report does not say it is cancer. But sometimes if the clinical findings are very suspicious then surgical wide excision may be advised irrespective of the biopsy. Many times we get cancer or precancer in such excisions. Also do stop habits like tobacco, supari or alcohol if any. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to discuss this further.
