Dear lybrateuser, - Stress is an important factor in IBS, exercise can reduce stress & IBS symptoms - to start with you have to judge for yourself the intensity of exercise which can be tolerated by your system as sometimes too vigorous exercise exacerbates the symptoms - milder forms like walking & yoga can be helpful, also jogging, swimming & other exercises can be tried first & then followed regularly as per suitability.
