Give her adequate rest. It takes 7-10 days to recover. Don't scratch the blisters. Over the counter medicines can be taken for fever. Drink plenty of liquids. As it is highly contagious, avoid going out.

If the chicken pox has started less than 3 days ago, your Doctor will prescribe an anti viral drug for the chicken pox, also medication for the itching and to apply on the lesions. There are some medicines which should not be given when the child has chicken pox so, tell your Doctor about any medicines she maybe taking. Tell her to avoid scratching the lesions (because it could result in scars) Keep her home till the scabs fall off (7 to 10 days) so that she does not infect the other children in her class.
