If Salpingectomy was done (Removal of portion of affected tube) then only 1 tube is working, if only Salpingostomy was made (an opening to just remove the ectopic pregnancy) that tube may be working. Remember once a patient gets ectopic pregnancy, that patient has more chances of having ectopic pregnancy again. Egg is produced by Ovaries and not tube. Fertilization takes place in the tube.
