Q1 I am 54, suffering from Psoriasis for 30 years. Is there a name for Psoriasis in Marathi or Hindi language? 2) I am happy to maintain it because after taking all possible treatments from over 40 different doctors of different schools. I have not come across a cure? Answer in one alphabet - Is there a cure? Y / N.

No, there is no cure of psoriasis anywhere in this world but your skin can remain 85% to 95% free of psoriasis plaque by medications which starts from methotrexate to biologicals (which cost patient in lakh but have very rare side effects). Stick with methotrexate under a qualified dermatologist who monitors your psoriasis. Never take oral steroids for psoriasis unless there is very severe disease (erythroderma) or is associated with psoriatic arthritis. Most non allopathic physician also rely on methotrexate. Another way of very effective control is via Narrow band UVB and UVA therapy and puva therapy.
