Hi, Lybrate user, your parents need 1000 calories to 1300 and 1300 to1600 calories to maintain blood sugar level within normal limit. Morning :At 7-8 Am 4 nos of marigold biscuits with 1 cup of tea. Breakfast:1 bowl of pulses, 3 nos of� breads, 1 bowl of vagatables, 1 bowl of curds. Lunch: 1 bowl of pulses,� 1 bowl of yougurt, 1 bowl of vegetables, 3 pcs of breads and 1 bowl of boiled rice. Snacks: 4 nos of marigold buiscuit, 1 cup of tea at 4-5 pm. Dinner: 3 nos of breads, 1 bowl of rice, 1 bowl of vegetable, 1 bowl of yougurt and� 1 bowl of pulses. Finally ,200 ml. Of milk at bed time. They need to maintain all anti diabetics.

Anyways, since you have a family history of diabetes, it better if you restrict sweets intake, also avoid deep fried foods, junk foods, bakery items, pastries, and foods made from maida as well as colas. Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Always use whole grain flour for roti and chapati. Your total caloric intake has to be based on your ideal body weight (70 kgs) not on actual one. Thanks.
