My mother has a hallucination problem she thinks that someone controlling her and commenting on her I think he has schizophrenia problem I have consult doctor he prescribe the oleanz 5 Mg tablet also she is shouting on us and always showing anger pls tell me how long her treatment will be continue and when her condition will be stable.

Hello, I can understand the problem you are facing. You have to understand what she is doing is because of the illness. She has no touch with the reality at present and once she will improve with medication everything will be fine. Oleanz can be increased gradually to minimum effective dosage required. If she fails to respond at adequate dose for at least 6-8 weeks duration taken with good compliance, a change in antipsychotic may be considered.
