After CABG and pleural effusion for which Thorocoscopy was done showing no infection and pleurodesis I am having severe constipation since I had taken many antibiotics, pain relievers and blood thinners. I have been prescribed Lubowel 24 mg tablets and taking them since 24 days. I am taking fibre rich foods. Still constipation and gas persist. Please advise what should be done to get rid of constipation and gas.

Avoid spicy food items and not to eat junk food and we also need to avoid peanuts and potatoes in our daily diet and For constipation I will suggest you to eat food with high fiber content like green leafy vegetables and can also eat bananas at bedtime as it is effective as a laxative and if necessary take 10 ml of syp cremaffin at night
