I was taking diamricon xr60 before bf and trajenta duo 2.5/1000 after lunch and trajenta duo2. 5/850 after dinner and also novomix insulin (30 (morn) +20 (dinner)) but my sugar level was 190 (f)/246 (ppg) and due to which I consulted doctor he prescribed me diamriconxrmex60/500 mg bf and bd and januvia 100 after break fast and insulin same it was but my sugar level got increased first day only to 350 (ppg) .what to do whether I take previous medicine or new medicine?

Hello, Thanks for the query As you are on certain drugs your body gets adapted to those compounds. Therefore, some times the change in compound between similar drugs may nt give desired results. Trigenta is Linagliptin and Januvita is Sitagliptin, even though both have similar action, dosage is different. So there is a possibilty of different response. Results may improve over a period. You might ask your physician about it. There are still better options for stricter control like GLP! analogues or SGLT - 2 Inhibitors. Thanks.
