Hello, Thanks for the query. Madam once you have been diagnosed to have hypothyroidism and were asked to take Levothyroxine in specific dosage, then that should have been continued. Hypothyroidism is a hormone deficiency disease, where your thyroid is not producing enough or nil thyroxine. This is an essential hormone for day to functioning of various important metabolic activities and brain. So the treatment is for lifetime. I am surprised that you have discontinued the treatment. That has caused the excess increase in TSH. It should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/KL to remain free from all the symptoms. High TSH affects menstruation and ovulation. Since you are interested in having a baby, then it is absolutely essential to restart the treatment immediately. For pregnancy to occur TSH has to be < 2 mU/L and through out the gestational period value has to be maintained around 2 mU/L, for proper fetal development, as well as for desired out come of pregnancy. If you have any doubts please come back. Thanks.
